Characteristics - Uses:
- Tembotrione is the latest-generation herbicidal active ingredient for use in maize and sugarcane. It is a next-generation successor to Mesotrione. Tembotrione inhibits chlorophyll formation, causing weeds to rapidly turn white (bleaching effect) and die completely, while remaining safe for maize and sugarcane when used as recommended.
- The product is absorbed through the leaves and controls weeds by inhibiting pigment biosynthesis, resulting in yellowing and whitening followed by gradual weed death. When applied at the recommended rate, it is safe to maize. It provides effective control of both broadleaf and grassy weeds in maize and sugarcane fields, such as barnyardgrass (Echinochloa spp.), goosegrass (Eleusine indica), bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon), sedges (Cyperus spp.), and pigweed (Amaranthus spp.), etc.
